This is the school seal which appears in the school uniform of the students and stamped on important documents pertaining to the school.
The logo’s form is a building which represents the two important institutions in our society, the CHURCH and the SCHOOL. It stands for the teachings of Christ which is reflected in the educational system of the DVMI schools, emphasizing that its academic program is based on Jesus Christ’s values and teachings.
The two letters at the center are M and V. The letter M stands for Mary, the Mother of Jesus, the Mother of the Church, from where the name of the school was derived. Mother Mary concretized the teachings of Jesus in her life. She becomes the protectress and guide. The letter V represents the word Virgin, pure in mind and body.
As we imitate Mama Mary’’ examples, we become virtuous and self-sacrificing too, just like our school founders Fr. Francesco Piccone and Mother Teresa Vallerga who were deeply inspired and strengthened by their love for Jesus and the Blessed Mother during their lifetime. Therefore, motivated and inspired by these knowledge, may the school administrators, educators and students become pure in body and mind, humble and persevering, caring and loving towards others so that they may live their lives always in union with Jesus through Mother Mary till the end of their days.
